Our laboratory is funded by an audacious ARPA-H project that aims to restore vision by whole eye transplantation. We collaborate with Organ Procurement Organizations (OPOs) and transplant surgeons to establish technology and protocols for recovery and preservation of light-responsive human donor eyes from the donation surgery all the way until transplantation.
